About Emily Polet-Monterosso's R2R Fundraiser

Emily Polet-Monterosso is pleased to be a part of the leadership team for the first domestic KDA One Kidney Climb of the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim. Emily is a member of the KDA board of directors, and also serves as the Executive Director of the National Kidney Donation Organization. She lives in Metro Detroit and takes every opportunity she can to travel to places above sea level. 

A veteran of the One Kidney Climb program, Emily was on the team that tackled the inaugural One Kidney Climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in 2022. Though she did not summit during that climb, which was her first attempt at a major peak, lessons learned during that adventure and on subsequent treks with Dash Adventures have led Emily to several successful high altitude summits since then. 

Sharing the challenge of strenuous treks and advocacy initiatives with other living kidney donors has provided a cherished source of connection with like-minded individuals for Emily, and she is looking forward to forming bonds with a whole new group of KDA adventurers on this climb.
